Surrendering…

As we get older, it’s good to check in more frequently with our body (& our life) to ensure that how we’re living is working for us. I have a sense that every year after 55, is like a dog year, though I also notice that I can age after a difficult time, then regain some strength, health & vitality, ‘youth’ even, when it

Loving your feedback… & Review time!

Tis an odd thing, to press the ‘Publish’ button on my Blog Posts, send them into the ether… & then have no real idea of whether they are useful… so… I love it when I get emails, texts or comments about how some brought you to tears, came at the perfect time or, indeed, confirmed what you were already doing… I had some great

Homemade ‘TV Dinners’!

As you’ve spotted, I like to mix up the content of my Blog Posts – deep & meaningful, followed by simply practical, so here goes… I am a lover of batch cooking – vital with my work schedule, but also incredibly useful as I live (& mostly eat) alone. So, I batch cook every possible component, which enables me to concoct a myriad of different

Wisdom from the 17th Century…

I was given this Nun’s prayer on a bookmark, some years ago, & I wanted to share it with you all… ‘Keep me from the fatal habit of thinking that I must say something on every subject & on every occasion. Release me from craving to straighten out everybody’s affairs. With my vast store of knowledge, it seems a pity not to use it

Ooh, I love my job!

Sometimes I get to head out into quiet back lanes, alongside rivers, where you really feel like you’re going back in time – hardly any cars on the road.. Other times, I’m coming home as the bats take to the air, or the owls come out, the sun goes down… all heavenly… I love it… especially as my corner of Helston is pretty low

Daily Rituals

I don’t know about you, but I need to change my Daily Rituals from to time, to shake them up a little, This ensures I remain fully connected to the benefits, otherwise they can disappear into a blinkered, unconscious part of me… almost as if, in being a daily routine, I do it without being ‘present’ – I’m going through the motions. In some areas

Rossiter successes!

Ooh, I love it when the ‘work’ delivers… I’m referring specifically to Rossiter Workouts on this occasion. Over the last few months, I’ve had successes with an ankle, an arm, knee & hamstrings… very exciting! The ankle, weakened a while back from a sprain, took a few sessions, & I can’t claim all the credit, as we (both!) attended a Feldenkrais workshop focusing on the ankle

Taking time to ‘fill up’?

More & more, I notice people ‘giving from empty’, & how that is encouraged by society often, by considering ‘self care’ selfish… Life has changed a lot in the last 50 years & we could do with demonstrating excellent examples of ‘taking time to fill up’ to future generations to avoid burnout (frazzled, as Ruby Wax puts it). There is very little about my

Long Term Wellness/Fitness…

I hope you enjoyed the last ‘guest’ post _ I felt it might be useful to read Teja’s thoughts & relationship with Kundalini yoga. I don’t know about you, but, for me, a very different year so far…     no ‘enforced dormouse‘, in fact very little dormouse at all! Maybe it’s because I did take time out to integrate much of what was
