My aim is to support you to make the best choices for your overall wellbeing. For each & every one of you that will be different, whether that relates more to the purely physical (ie your body) or it’s circumstance, or ‘age’n stage’… And, of course, there’s a combination of all of those, with, perhaps, the focus being more on just one element at times.
So, if you’ve called me in because you have aches & pains, a ‘bad back’, you’re preparing for some kind of physical challenge, or… life is battering you right now, you have no peace or space for yourself, you’re making big changes… all of these require very different input from me. Hence having a ‘check in’ before we start, tweaking the content of the treatment, the music we have as background (if any) & which ‘smell’ delivers your needs on each occasion.
As it’s an excellent opportunity to reflect on & discuss your body, we can cover ideas that would best support what you you’re wanting your body to deliver right now! I look to encourage small changes (most realistic for most people!!) that are doable within the entire context of your life – whether that’s an issue of time, money, inclination or ability – there are many ‘ways in’ to make changes that can ripple out through all aspects of your life.
Sometimes clients have neglected their bodies & they see me as essential support with exploring ways forward to care for themselves, others are aware that input from outside is extremely useful, as we share knowledge around what is & isn’t working. Let’s not forget, somewhere you have a ‘file’ with info on your body, so it’s about finding what you know, using that… & my role is supporting you with tweaking that if needs be…
