Kundalini Yoga – Guest Post by Teja Kaur

Sharing this space with my very lovely yoga teacher today… enjoy it!

“After going to Hatha Yoga classes since I was 13, which gave me great insight into my body, I discovered Kundalini yoga 7 years ago. This deepened my practice as I could now balance my energy, whilst fully experiencing my body. The warm up is divine – I feel my hips open, my shoulders relax & my spinal column stretched. I feel soft & calm, & I’ve finally learnt to breathe!

I love Kundalini Yoga because it is so inclusive – it is suitable for anyone & everyone, no matter your age, ability, race or gender. I love the community that comes with it. Wherever you go in the world, Kundalini yogis are open, welcoming, supportive & caring – it’s like a family. In class we laugh, we share & we support each other. It’s more than a weekly class, it’s making friends. It’s coming home to me, releasing not just physical tension, but the emotions that can cause the tension. It’s truly holistic, treats every part of me & brings me to a place of peace, clarity & understanding.

I love the music & the chanting is so much fun. There are so many meditations that no matter what I want to work on, there’s a chant & a meditation that will help. For me it’s everything I need in a way that’s practical, accessible & enjoyable.

If you’d like to know more, go to my website with information on classes & workshops, or email me.  The next workshop is in Falmouth on Sunday 26th February 2017 & I’d love to see you there. Thank you.”
