Saying thank you…

I suspect we have all been brought up (and are maybe bringing up children now) to say thank you, but do we actually check in with feeling it?

There have been a ton of teleseminars and webinars  since the beginning of the year, which I love as a soundtrack to my time at home. Of the many fact filled and heart-opening interviews I have listened to, one of the pieces that stuck in my mind was around Gratitude.

As you probably remember, I do a daily list, but it had become a little perfunctory. The element I loved hearing, was that this particular guy knew he’d succeeded with his list if it brought him to tears. In other words, he really felt it, allowing himself to be still enough to truly experience it.

So, I now slow down when writing my daily lists, which also include joy, things I’m proud of, looking forward to, people I love… I could go on. I pause sometimes and allow the feelings to surface. I also put together a ‘Team Fiona‘ list, consisting of all the people who support me in all the ways I can think of – that helps with Gratitude too!

Try it – just find 4 or 5 things at first – the effect is far reaching…
